The safe Guarding team have been trained in child protection and are aware of all policies and procedures
PRINCIPAL: Mrs Lisa Hickson.
Mrs Hickson has over 20 years teaching experience both in the Primary and Nursery Sector. Mrs Hickson graduated from Queens University St Mary's College with a First Class Honours Degree in Education specialising in Art and Design. Mrs Hickson has taught in Key Stage one before transferring to Nursery. As well as teaching Mrs Hickson has worked with the ETI as an Associate Assessor in Early Years Inspections.Mrs Hickson has a great interest in teaching the Arts namely painting, drawing, drama and music.
Mrs Martine Rogers has worked in St Columba's Portaferry and St Patrick's Holywood as a classroom assistant/special needs assistant at both Key Stage One, Two and three before coming to the Nursery.Mrs Rogers is our First aider and child protection helper. Mrs Rogers has an interest in fundamental movement skills and helps out in her local club.
Mrs Nicola Gilmore has experience working in the Primary Sector in Kircubbin Integrated Primary School.Mrs Gilmore is also a leader and organiser of the Scouts in her spare time.
All members of staff have a wealth of experience that greatly enhances the interactions and learning experiences developed on a daily basis.
Mrs Fitzpatrick has been with us for over a year. Mrs Fitzpatrick has completed her NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and is currently finishing a qualification in Special Needs
